We are excited to announce that in July 2023, MWC will offer a new camp for rising 11th and 12th graders to craft a polished college admissions essay. Cracking the College Essay will be a week focused on brainstorming, revision, tips, and tricks. Participants will conquer the blank page, receive individual help, and leave with a polished essay they can use and revise for a variety of applications.
Cracking the College Essay will be taught by high school English teacher Rose Dickson. Rose has taught English and Creative Writing for eight years at Loyola Sacred Heart High School. As part of her Senior English curriculum, she guides LSH students through the process of writing personal essays for college admissions. She is excited for the chance to help other Missoula students brainstorm topics, craft a memorable essay, and polish it for submissions to the colleges of their choice.
Cracking the College Essay will take place on July 10 – 14, 2023, from 12:30 – 3:30 on the University of Montana campus. Details about our other two camps can be found below and on our registration page.
