Nick Littman loves to use writing to explore place. Even more so, he loves seeing how places come alive in the eyes of fourth graders. Nick has an M.S. in Environmental Studies with a focus in nonfiction writing from the University of Montana. In 2017, he won The Montana Quarterly’s Big Snowy Prize for his essay “Passing Through”. He has published essays in Blueline, The Hopper, Camas and elsewhere. Since 2016, Nick has taught college students about the complexities of human-landscape relationships in Montana as an instructor for the Wild Rockies Field Institute. He is currently working on a book about maple syrup, vocation, and the Adirondack Mountains
